When Jonas turns 12, he is singled out to receive special training from The Giver.   Now, it’s time for Jonas to receive the truth.  Jonas wakes up to the reality that there is a price that has been paid to live in his society.  With disgust he decides to take action; action that might bring the end to his Utopian society.

The book is riveting and thought-provoking.  A definite page turner!  I give this title a five star review.
