Taylor Swift was only sixteen years old with her debut album.  Her music is country in genre.  On a website I read that Taylor said that the idea for this song came to her while she was sitting in math class. She had spent a wonderful summer with a great guy whom she really loved.  She writes most of her own songs by herself.  Her first hit single she wrote by herself.  What is interesting is that Taylor first posted her music on the web and then was recognized as a young talented artists.  It gives an idea of the power of social media use that brought her fame.  The music is appealing to young tween’s as the lyrics appeal to them.
